Considering that there are Tosas in tallness and muscularity relatively
heterogeneous in Japan, standard for Tosa appoint just lower bound of tallness,
which is 55 cm for a female and 60 cm for a male. The upper bound is not
limited, for that we can meet ( but not so often) the dogs with the upper bound
75 cm. The most important thing is Tosa's body; it has to be generally harmonic,
with strong bones and nice thews. The weight of Tosa is between 55 and 70 kg for
male, female are on the average 45 to 65 weighty. We know some champion 100 kg
weighty from Japan, but that is really just a rarity and we can't see it in
Europe.
